Do you have a Higher National Diploma or a Foundation Degree in an area related to travel, tourism and hospitality? Teaching and Assessment
We use lectures, seminars, tutorials, open and resource-based learning and supervised project and group work to help you learn. Assessment is by coursework, normally including essays, reports, group work, multiple-choice tests, computer based evaluation and seminar presentations, and, in some cases, examinations.
Work Experience
This 'hands-on' programme has been developed in close collaboration with industry consultants nationally and internationally. We've developed the programme in close collaboration with industry consultants. You can expect a focus on real-world learning with live project work, local day visits and guest speakers. Residential field study visits (at an additional cost) may be available which will add to your existing practical experience.
Career Opportunities
Recent tourism graduates have gone on to positions within major tourism companies, economic development agencies, tourism development bodies and local authorities. There are also opportunities in regional and national government in the UK and overseas. Plus, you'll be equipped for many positions in the wider service sector and for moving on to postgraduate research.
